Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These Terms of Service apply when you use the Verity Education website, book a free session, enrol a student, purchase a program or otherwise use our educational services. They are written plainly on purpose. If anything is unclear, please contact us before enrolling.
The important parts
- Programs may include IT & Coding, VCE & Selective Coaching, Entrepreneurship & AI, and other educational programs introduced over time.
- Free discovery or trial sessions are subject to availability and are not a guarantee of ongoing enrolment.
- Program fees, schedules and inclusions are confirmed before enrolment.
- Cancellation and rescheduling rules are explained below.
- We will provide our services with appropriate care and skill, but we cannot guarantee a particular grade, ATAR, selective-entry outcome, competition result or other educational outcome.
- Atlas-powered learning records and AI-assisted tools may form part of some Verity programs.
- Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. About Verity Education
Verity Education provides educational programs primarily for school-age students.
Our programs may include:
- IT and Coding;
- VCE and Selective Coaching;
- Entrepreneurship and AI;
- academic support;
- exam preparation;
- future-skills education;
- workshops and intensives;
- other programs introduced from time to time.
Programs may be delivered:
- individually;
- in small groups;
- in larger workshops;
- online;
- in person;
- through a combination of these formats.
Different programs may have different age ranges, prerequisites, schedules and fees.
2. Parent or guardian responsibility
Where a student is under 18, enrolment must normally be completed or authorised by a parent or guardian.
The parent or guardian enrolling the student confirms that they have authority to:
- enrol the student;
- provide information reasonably required for the student's participation;
- agree to these terms on the student's behalf where appropriate;
- make payments relating to the enrolment.
We encourage parents and students to discuss the program together before enrolment.
3. Using our website
Please use the Verity Education website only for legitimate purposes.
You must not:
- submit deliberately false or misleading information;
- interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- attempt unauthorised access to our systems;
- use automated scraping or extraction tools in a way that disrupts or misuses the site;
- upload malicious software or harmful content;
- impersonate another person.
Information on the website is general and may change as programs, tutors, schedules and prices develop.
4. Free discovery sessions and trials
Verity Education may offer free discovery sessions, workshops, diagnostics, open days or trial classes.
A free session may include:
- a short learning diagnostic;
- a sample lesson;
- a coding or AI activity;
- discussion of the student's goals;
- a learning snapshot;
- recommendations for suitable programs.
Free sessions are subject to availability.
Unless we specifically state otherwise:
- a student may be limited to one free introductory experience for a particular program;
- attending a free session does not create an obligation to enrol;
- attending does not guarantee a place in a paid program;
- Verity Education may recommend that a student join a different program or not enrol if we do not believe the program is suitable.
We may change, limit or discontinue free sessions at any time.
5. Enrolment
An enrolment is confirmed when:
- we accept the student into the program;
- the applicable enrolment information has been provided;
- the parent, guardian or eligible student accepts the applicable terms; and
- any required payment has been made or an agreed payment arrangement is in place.
Before enrolment, we will provide or make available relevant information about:
- program format;
- fees;
- schedule;
- expected duration;
- location or online delivery;
- major inclusions;
- any material prerequisites.
Some programs may have limited places.
6. Scheduling
Sessions are scheduled according to the relevant program.
Programs may operate:
- weekly during school terms;
- during school holidays;
- as short courses;
- as intensives;
- as workshops;
- according to another published timetable.
Where a recurring student is allocated a regular time, we will make reasonable efforts to maintain that time and tutor, but we cannot guarantee that the same tutor or timetable will remain available indefinitely.
We may occasionally need to change tutors, classrooms, locations or session times.
Where a material change affects an enrolled student, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
7. Group programs
Many Verity Education programs may be delivered in small groups.
Group composition may change over time because of:
- enrolments;
- withdrawals;
- student level;
- tutor availability;
- scheduling;
- program progression.
We may move a student between groups where reasonably necessary to provide an appropriate learning experience.
Where a significant change would materially alter what was purchased, we will discuss the available options with the parent, guardian or student.
8. Fees
Current program fees will be displayed on our website, enrolment page, invoice or other enrolment communication.
Fees may be charged:
- per session;
- weekly;
- per term;
- per course;
- per workshop;
- under another clearly disclosed arrangement.
Any advertised price applies subject to the conditions attached to that offer.
Founding-family, promotional, scholarship or discounted pricing may have separate eligibility requirements.
Unless stated otherwise, fees are in Australian dollars.
9. Payment
Payment terms will be provided before or at enrolment.
Depending on the program, payment may be required:
- in advance;
- weekly;
- fortnightly;
- monthly;
- by term;
- in instalments.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
If a payment fails or becomes overdue, we may contact you to resolve the issue.
Where fees remain unpaid after reasonable notice, we may pause future participation until the account is brought up to date.
We will not remove rights available under applicable consumer law because of a payment dispute.
10. Price changes
Verity Education may change program prices from time to time.
We will not retrospectively change the price of services already paid for.
For ongoing programs, we will provide reasonable notice before a price change takes effect.
You may choose not to continue after the current paid period if you do not accept a future price change, subject to any applicable enrolment arrangement.
11. Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellation arrangements may differ between:
- individual tutoring;
- group classes;
- workshops;
- short courses;
- holiday programs.
The applicable cancellation policy will be disclosed before enrolment where it differs from this section.
Individual sessions
Unless otherwise stated, an individual session may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge if at least 24 hours' notice is provided.
If less than 24 hours' notice is provided, we may charge some or all of the session fee because the tutor's time has been reserved.
We may make reasonable exceptions for circumstances such as:
- sudden illness;
- family emergency;
- another significant event outside the family's reasonable control.
Group sessions
Group classes generally continue even if an individual student cannot attend.
A missed group session does not automatically entitle the student to a refund or private replacement session.
Where reasonably practicable, we may provide:
- class materials;
- catch-up resources;
- an alternative session;
- another suitable form of support.
Cancellation by Verity Education
If we cancel a paid session and cannot provide a reasonable replacement, we will offer an appropriate remedy such as:
- a rescheduled session;
- account credit;
- refund for the affected service.
This does not limit any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
11A. No-show policy
A no-show occurs when a student does not attend a scheduled session and Verity Education has not received reasonable notice beforehand.
We understand that occasional mistakes and unexpected circumstances happen. However, recurring no-shows make it difficult to hold places fairly for other students.
If a student records three no-shows, Verity Education may cancel their regular recurring time slot and offer that place to another student.
Where this happens:
- the student is not automatically removed from Verity Education;
- the family may request another available class or time;
- a new regular slot is subject to availability;
- existing cancellation or payment terms still apply to missed sessions;
- genuine emergencies or exceptional circumstances may be considered at Verity Education's discretion.
We will normally contact the parent or guardian before cancelling a recurring slot because of repeated no-shows.
12. Withdrawal from an ongoing program
A student may withdraw from an ongoing program by providing reasonable notice.
Any specific notice period will be disclosed before enrolment.
Fees already earned for services delivered remain payable.
Where a student has prepaid for services that have not been supplied, any refund or credit will depend on:
- the applicable enrolment arrangement;
- costs already reasonably incurred;
- the reason for cancellation; and
- rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
We will not apply a cancellation term in a way that unlawfully removes a consumer's statutory rights.
13. School holidays and program breaks
Regular programs may pause or change format during:
- Victorian school holidays;
- public holidays;
- examination periods;
- end-of-year shutdowns.
We will communicate relevant term dates or holiday arrangements.
Verity Education may also offer optional holiday intensives or workshops during these periods.
14. Online sessions
For online sessions, students are responsible for having reasonable access to:
- a compatible device;
- internet access;
- required software;
- a suitable place to participate.
For coding, AI or technology programs, additional software or account requirements may apply.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate these requirements before the relevant program begins.
We are not responsible for interruptions caused solely by a student's internet connection, device failure or other technology outside our reasonable control.
Where technical problems are caused by Verity Education and materially prevent delivery, we will take reasonable steps to provide an alternative or replacement.
15. Student conduct
Verity Education is intended to be a respectful, inclusive and safe learning environment.
Students must not:
- bully or harass others;
- use discriminatory or threatening language;
- deliberately damage property;
- seriously disrupt learning;
- misuse technology or accounts;
- access inappropriate or unlawful material during sessions;
- use Verity systems to harm another person.
Where conduct issues arise, we will generally try to work constructively with the student and parent or guardian.
However, serious or repeated misconduct may result in:
- removal from a session;
- temporary suspension;
- termination of enrolment.
Any refund entitlement will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
16. Child safety and safeguarding
Student safety is a priority.
Verity Education will seek to comply with applicable child-safety and worker-screening requirements.
Tutors and workers undertaking child-related work will be required to hold any legally required Working with Children clearance or equivalent screening applicable to their role.
We may also maintain:
- tutor verification processes;
- child-safety procedures;
- reporting processes;
- appropriate supervision requirements.
Where we reasonably believe a student may be at risk of serious harm, information may be disclosed where permitted or required by law.
17. Student progress and Atlas learning records
Some Verity Education programs may use Atlas-powered learning records.
These may track information such as:
- baseline skills;
- learning objectives;
- demonstrated competencies;
- assessments;
- completed projects;
- tutor observations;
- progress over time.
Atlas records are intended to provide clearer evidence of a student's learning.
They are not a formal school report, government credential, university transcript or professional qualification unless expressly stated otherwise.
A Verity or Atlas record does not guarantee that another school, institution, employer or organisation will recognise or accept it.
18. AI and digital learning tools
Some Verity Education programs may use artificial intelligence and digital tools.
These may support:
- personalised exercises;
- coding assistance;
- lesson preparation;
- feedback;
- student projects;
- progress analysis;
- administrative activities.
Students may also learn how to use AI systems themselves.
We expect students to use these tools responsibly and consistently with:
- program instructions;
- academic-integrity requirements;
- applicable law;
- safety requirements.
AI systems may produce inaccurate or inappropriate outputs.
Students should not treat AI output as automatically correct.
Where appropriate, tutors will teach students to review, question and verify AI-generated material.
19. Academic integrity
Verity Education provides educational support.
We do not provide services intended to help students:
- cheat;
- plagiarise;
- impersonate another person;
- submit work produced by someone else as their own;
- improperly evade school or examination rules.
Tutors may explain concepts, provide feedback, demonstrate techniques and assist students to develop their own work.
The student remains responsible for complying with the academic-integrity rules of their school or institution.
20. Educational outcomes
We promise to provide our educational services with appropriate care, preparation and skill.
However, educational outcomes depend on many factors outside Verity Education's control, including:
- attendance;
- student effort;
- existing knowledge;
- school teaching;
- assessment conditions;
- health and personal circumstances;
- exam performance.
Accordingly, we do not guarantee:
- a particular school grade;
- ATAR result;
- VCE study score;
- selective-entry offer;
- scholarship;
- competition result;
- university admission;
- employment outcome;
- any specific improvement within a particular timeframe.
Any testimonials, case studies, progress statistics or past results describe particular experiences and are not guarantees of future performance.
21. Learning support and professional advice
Verity Education provides educational services.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not provide:
- psychological diagnosis;
- medical services;
- disability assessment;
- clinical treatment;
- legal advice;
- financial advice.
If a student's needs fall outside our educational role, we may recommend that the family seek appropriately qualified professional support.
22. Intellectual property
Materials created by Verity Education may include:
- worksheets;
- lesson plans;
- curriculum;
- coding exercises;
- templates;
- assessments;
- videos;
- presentations;
- teaching resources.
Unless otherwise stated, these materials remain the intellectual property of Verity Education or the relevant licensor.
Students may use provided materials for their own personal educational purposes.
They must not reproduce, sell, publish, commercially distribute or systematically upload those materials elsewhere without permission.
23. Student-created work
Original work created by a student remains the student's work, subject to any rights in underlying Verity materials or third-party technology used to create it.
Student projects may form part of the student's private learning record.
We will obtain appropriate separate permission before using identifiable student work publicly for marketing or promotional purposes.
24. Photography, video and testimonials
Enrolment does not automatically give Verity Education permission to use a student's image, video, testimonial or identifiable work publicly.
Where we wish to use these materials for marketing or public promotion, we will seek separate appropriate consent.
Declining marketing consent will not affect the student's access to ordinary Verity Education programs.
25. Third-party platforms and services
Verity Education may use third-party services such as:
- video conferencing;
- coding platforms;
- AI tools;
- learning platforms;
- payment processors;
- scheduling systems;
- cloud services.
These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Where a student needs an account with a third-party service, we will seek to provide reasonable information about that requirement.
26. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is explained in the Verity Education Privacy Policy.
Depending on the service, we may also ask parents or guardians to complete separate:
- privacy collection notices;
- consent forms;
- photo/video release forms.
27. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with rights and guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to:
- exclude;
- restrict; or
- modify
any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.
Where Verity Education fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may have rights to remedies including correction of the service, cancellation, refund or compensation depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
28. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verity Education is not responsible for loss caused by:
- circumstances outside our reasonable control;
- a student's failure to follow instructions;
- a student's breach of school or academic-integrity rules;
- third-party technology outside our reasonable control;
- inaccurate information supplied to us.
Nothing in this section limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful.
We do not seek to exclude liability for rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
29. Suspension or termination by Verity Education
We may suspend or end a student's enrolment where reasonably necessary because of:
- serious or repeated misconduct;
- threats to student or staff safety;
- persistent non-payment;
- material misuse of our technology;
- serious breach of these Terms;
- circumstances that make continued delivery impracticable.
Where appropriate, we will seek to discuss the issue with the parent or guardian before taking this step.
Any refund or outstanding amount will be handled consistently with the circumstances and applicable law.
30. Changes to programs
Education programs evolve.
We may reasonably change:
- curriculum;
- tutors;
- teaching materials;
- platforms;
- lesson structures;
- scheduling;
- program names.
We will not make changes that fundamentally alter a prepaid service without providing an appropriate option or remedy.
31. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, technology or legal obligations change.
The current version will show its effective date at the top of this page.
Material changes affecting an existing paid enrolment will not simply be imposed retrospectively where doing so would be unreasonable or unlawful.
32. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
The parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in Victoria.
Nothing in this clause removes any mandatory rights or protections that apply under Australian law or any other law that cannot validly be excluded.
