Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to personal information when you visit Verity Education, enquire about a program, enrol a student, or use our learning services. It is written to be read by a parent in one sitting, not buried in legal language.

The short version

  1. We collect only the information we reasonably need to respond to enquiries, enrol students, deliver programs and track learning.
  2. We do not sell personal information.
  3. We do not publish a student's photograph, work, result or testimonial without appropriate permission.
  4. We may use digital learning tools, AI-assisted systems and Atlas-powered learning records to support teaching and progress tracking.
  5. You can ask us to access, correct or, where appropriate, delete personal information we hold.
  6. We take reasonable steps to protect student and family information.

1. Who we are

Verity Education provides educational programs for school-age students, including:

  1. IT and Coding;
  2. VCE and Selective Coaching;
  3. Entrepreneurship and AI;
  4. other academic and future-skills programs that may be introduced over time.

Programs may be delivered individually or in groups, online or in person.

This policy applies to Verity Education's website, enquiries, enrolments, programs, learning records and related communications.

You can contact us at:

  1. Email: hello@verity-education.com
  2. Phone: [insert phone number]
  3. Website: [insert website]
  4. Address: [insert business address, if applicable]

2. What we collect

We may collect information including:

  1. parent or guardian name;
  2. email address and phone number;
  3. student's name;
  4. student's age and year level;
  5. school and subjects studied;
  6. learning goals;
  7. areas where the student wants or needs support;
  8. program and scheduling preferences;
  9. attendance information;
  10. assessment or diagnostic results;
  11. tutor notes and progress records;
  12. completed projects and work samples;
  13. communications with Verity Education;
  14. billing and payment records.

Where reasonably necessary, we may also collect information about accessibility, health, disability or learning-support needs so that we can provide an appropriate learning environment.

We aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary for the service being provided.

3. What the website may collect automatically

Our website or service providers may collect standard technical information such as:

  1. IP address;
  2. browser and device type;
  3. pages viewed;
  4. time of visit;
  5. referring page or website;
  6. basic security and performance information.

This information may be used to operate, secure and improve the website.

If we later introduce analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking technologies, this policy will be updated to reflect how those tools are used.

4. What we do not do

We do not:

  1. sell personal information;
  2. rent or trade student or family data;
  3. publicly identify a student without appropriate permission;
  4. publish student work for marketing without consent;
  5. use sensitive student information for unrelated purposes.

We also do not collect more information than we reasonably need simply because technology allows us to.

5. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  1. respond to enquiries;
  2. arrange free sessions, trials or diagnostics;
  3. enrol students;
  4. schedule and deliver programs;
  5. assess learning needs;
  6. create learning plans;
  7. track progress;
  8. provide feedback to parents and students;
  9. maintain continuity between sessions;
  10. manage tutors and classes;
  11. process payments and invoices;
  12. provide customer support;
  13. improve programs;
  14. maintain safety and safeguarding processes;
  15. comply with legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

6. Atlas learning records

Verity Education may use Atlas-powered systems to create structured records of a student's learning and demonstrated skills.

These records may include:

  1. learning goals;
  2. assessments;
  3. projects;
  4. demonstrated competencies;
  5. tutor observations;
  6. evidence of student work;
  7. progress over time;
  8. milestones and achievements.

The purpose of these records is to help students and families understand what the student can actually demonstrate, rather than relying only on attendance or broad statements of progress.

Access to these records will be controlled according to the student's program and appropriate permissions.

7. Artificial intelligence and digital tools

Verity Education may use AI-assisted and digital tools to support:

  1. lesson planning;
  2. personalised practice;
  3. feedback;
  4. progress analysis;
  5. administrative tasks;
  6. scheduling;
  7. communications;
  8. coding and technology education;
  9. student projects.

Where appropriate, Verity Education will maintain human oversight.

We will not intentionally use student personal information for unrelated AI model training without appropriate permission.

Where AI is used in a way that materially affects a student, we will seek to ensure appropriate review and transparency.

8. Children and young people

Because Verity Education works with children and young people, we take particular care with student information.

Where appropriate, information will be collected from or with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

We also aim to respect the views and privacy of the student themselves, particularly as they become older and better able to understand how their information is being used.

We will not publicly use identifiable student photographs, videos, testimonials, results or work without appropriate consent.

9. Who we may share information with

We may share information where reasonably necessary with:

  1. Verity Education tutors and staff;
  2. authorised contractors;
  3. website and hosting providers;
  4. email and communication providers;
  5. video-conferencing services;
  6. booking and scheduling providers;
  7. payment providers;
  8. learning-management systems;
  9. Atlas-related technology providers;
  10. IT and cybersecurity providers;
  11. professional advisers.

These providers may only receive information necessary for the service they are providing.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect a student's safety.

10. Payments

Payment information may be processed through third-party payment providers.

Verity Education does not need to store full payment-card details where payments are handled directly by a secure payment provider.

11. Marketing communications

We may send information about:

  1. Verity Education programs;
  2. workshops;
  3. school-holiday programs;
  4. events;
  5. new courses;
  6. educational opportunities.

We will provide an appropriate way to opt out of promotional communications.

Operational communications about an active enrolment, lesson, payment or student may still be sent where necessary.

12. Photographs, video and student work

Marketing consent is separate from enrolment.

We may ask parents or guardians to complete a separate Photo, Video & Student Work Release Form if we would like to use identifiable student material for:

  1. our website;
  2. social media;
  3. advertising;
  4. brochures;
  5. case studies;
  6. promotional videos;
  7. public showcases.

Refusing marketing consent will not affect a student's ability to participate in Verity Education programs.

13. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary.

For example:

  1. enquiries that do not lead to enrolment may be retained for a limited period before deletion;
  2. student records may be kept during enrolment and for a reasonable period afterwards;
  3. financial records may be retained where required for accounting or legal purposes;
  4. some information may be retained where necessary for disputes, safeguarding or other legitimate obligations.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where appropriate.

14. Cookies and similar technology

Our website may use cookies or similar technology where necessary to:

  1. operate the website;
  2. remember basic preferences;
  3. protect the website from misuse;
  4. measure website performance.

If we use advertising, analytics or behavioural-tracking technologies in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate information and controls.

15. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from:

  1. misuse;
  2. loss;
  3. unauthorised access;
  4. unauthorised disclosure;
  5. modification.

These steps may include access controls, secure service providers, authentication, restricted staff permissions and appropriate administrative procedures.

No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

16. Access, correction and deletion requests

You may contact us to:

  1. ask what personal information we hold;
  2. request correction of inaccurate information;
  3. ask us to stop sending marketing communications;
  4. request deletion of information where appropriate.

Some information may need to be retained because of legal, accounting, safeguarding, contractual or other legitimate requirements.

Where a request concerns a child, we may need to confirm the identity and authority of the parent or guardian making the request.

17. Overseas service providers

Some technology providers used by Verity Education may store or process information outside Australia.

Where practicable, we will take reasonable steps to understand where information is stored and to use providers with appropriate privacy and security practices.

As our technology stack develops, we may update this policy to identify relevant providers or overseas locations where appropriate.

18. Complaints

If you are concerned about how we have handled personal information, please contact us first so that we can investigate.

We will seek to respond reasonably and appropriately.

If you remain dissatisfied and Australian privacy law applies, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when:

  1. our services change;
  2. new technology is introduced;
  3. Atlas functionality changes;
  4. AI functionality changes;
  5. privacy law or guidance changes.

The current version will always show the latest update date at the top of this page.
